"Recently we moved from Ft Lauderdale Florida to San Diego California for a job transfer and family. We chose to use Self Moves for various reasons. We originally contacted the full service movers and received quotes from them and they were around $5500 to $7000 for a 4 bedroom home. We looked around and then we were on the internet and we were still shopping around and thought about doing a drive cross country ourselves. We came across several so called self movers. Through a little more looking on the internet there were so many companies that pop up in your searches. There is no way to know who to use so we started calling and emailing the companies directly." "Several responded and we had three we were looking at. The president and his staff at Self Moves always answered the phone. The communication was great almost never did we get voice mail and they always called back and emailed us throughout the process. The price was about a third and we paid about $2300 of what a full service carriers were . They never asked us for any money upfront or a credit card or asked to be paid until our truck arrived.in San Diego The trucks were dropped off on the date that we moved and arrived when they promised. They also told us where the truck was en route when we asked. The trucks were clean and exactly how they described the process to be." "The final decision on who to choose to move our home came when we checked the BBB.Org and their record was as good as the Better Business Bureau indicated. I would highly recommend the company and it is by far the best way to move if you can move your things yourself. Feel free to call me for reference."
