I noticed you have an excellent record with the Better Business Bureau. I have done research on others and found lots of complaints. When I asked them, they told me the BBB was flawed. What is your opinion?

SelfMoves USA goes to great lengths to take care of our customers and our record speaks for itself in that regard. Obviously, if the other company(s) have a great deal of complaints against them - maybe their only defense is to attack the messenger instead of standing on their own merits.

Can I move a car with my shipment?

I am trying to schedule an airline flight and I am concerned about what happens if the trailer does not show up on my move date.

What are the sizes of the trailers? I have a Studio Apt to move with basically only a bedroom set and couch. How much space do I need?

SelfMoves Answer

The trailers are 8ft wide and 9ft tall for loading purposes. The are a little bit wider and taller than the typical rental trucks. With Studio, generally you will need somewhere between 5-6 feet of trailer space. Please contact one of our Sales Specialists and they can confirm what you have and make sure we give you the an accurate 'guestimate' of space.

I have spoken to another company like yours - but they cannot nor will not guarantee me a load date. All they told me was to "take their word - they will be there". That does not sound to confident to me if they will not back it up. Will you guarantee my date and put it in writing.

I understand your problem and hear it many times in a work day. The other company will not put it into writing as they probably have a history of not showing up or telling the customer that their truck 'broke down'. There are some companies that will overbook and then pick/choose who they want to move (whichever ones provides them a higher price). I would suggest reviewing sites as the Better Business Bureau, Ripoff Report and others to see if this is an ongoing problem with that carrier. SelfMo
